Niche Member Site
This project is a little different from the others that I have been working on as The Idea’s Architect. This is my own project and will use some standard member site software. The purpose of the project is to create a members only site that will help the members create their own paid for member sites.
I believe that over the next few years, specialists will want to offer their knowledge to others on the Internet but not free of charge. Having a member site solves this problem quite well. For example if you have say 1,000 members who are paying you $50 per months then you will have an income of around $600,000 per year. Not bad if you have valuable information to share.
Of course you may have a site that has only 100 members because the subject is very specialised. They may pay $100 or more per month depending upon the subject and the market for it. If for example you were offering advice on buying high rise flats for renting then you may charge $100 per month. However if you were offering specialised inside information about stocks and shares on a daily basis you might charge $250 per month.
At the other end of the scale, you might have a very popular subject that attracts a large number of people. For example you might have a member only site that specialised in a specific type of hobby for young girls. You may have say 5,000 members and charge them just $10 per month. That is very low price for mums and dads to pay to keep their little girl happy. It generates $600,000 per year for you, so you would be happy as well.
