So far this week has gone really well, although a little quiet and rather wet for my liking, but I have had some time to think about what I will do over the next year or so.
As I mentioned a couple of days ago, I have been considering writing a book to occupy my time and, with a little bit of luck, make some hard needed cash. My original idea was to write a novel of some sort, but I have had quite a few people contact me and suggest that I write about my experiences in life and especially the issues which I now face.
I have to say that it seems a great idea but I’m not sure that I have enough knowledge about what is happening to my body and mind – to be able to produce something of real value and interest.
Over the next few days I will start sketching out some ideas and see if a book of this type would be viable, and try and find out if there is a market for it.
I am greatly encouraged by all those people who have said that they really like my easy and very open writing style. I don’t see myself as particularly good at English grammar so anything I do will be a bit of a struggle. I have had a kind offer from one reader who is a professional proof-reader to proof read my book and correct it. It is so kind of him to care enough to offer help.
It worries me that people are giving me advice and offering help and that I perhaps don’t recognise their help in a way that I should. So thank you to everyone – I really do appreciate every contact, every bit of advice and all the help that is offered or given.
I have added a new book to my RESEARCH page called ‘The Acid Alkaline Food Guide’ by Dr Susan E. Brown and Larry Trivieri which I believe might be very helpful to anyone who wishes to reduce their bodies alkalinity. Having this guide does not mean you cannot eat acid producing food, but it will help you to get the right balance.
I have also added details of ‘ph Strips’ which I use to measure the acidity/alkalinity in my body. You can purchase these from your local chemist but I found the online price through Amazon.co.uk is much better.
Today I measured my alkalinity and was very pleased to see that it is 7.5 which is slightly above the ideal level of 7.365 required by the body. Although this is a little on the alkali side, it is much better than being the other way – i.e. less than 7.365 which becomes a haven for cancer cells.
If you remember I explained before that the pH chart gives a basic range of 0 to 14 where 0 is totally acid, 7.0 neutral and 14 is totally alkali. This scale is logarithmic which means the following:-
- 4.0 1,000 times more acidic than 7.0
- 5.0 100 times more acidic than 7.0
- 6.0 10 time more acidic than 7.0
- 7.0 Neutral
- 8.0 10 times more alkali than 7.0
- 9.0 100 times more alkali than 7.0
- 10.0 1,000 times more alkali than 7.0
You can see how easy the body can become damaged by high levels of both acid and alkali. Modern diets sadly make our body acidic, often down to as low as 6.0 which is so acidic that the body will struggle to survive.
Anyway, I’ll call it a day for now, but please remember that taking some simple precautions can keep your body within the acceptable range thus allowing the immune system to protect you against cancer and MOST other illnesses.
Enjoy your day, the week is nearly over!
