Sep 21st 2012 – Day 80… Another Week has Slipped By … and I’m STILL Here! ;)

Friday is with us again and we now have the weekend to look forward to and enjoy. Sadly for most people the weekend is the only two days they are at home to do all those chores … but at least it is different from working. A change is as good as a rest, they say! :)

For me today is going to be a little stressful as I am going for a meeting with my Insolvency Consultant who is trying to recover some of my wife’s life insurance money that has been impounded by the Official Receiver.

I have no particular problem with my creditors from my bankruptcy back in 2008 getting their money but am furious that they can take it from money that my wife should be getting from a term life insurance policy, because I am apparently dying.

What makes this very hard for me, is that I was never told that they could do this, and if I had been told all I had to do was change the beneficiary of any pay-out into my wife’s name rather than to my estate. They could not have touched it then!

Worse still, we never conceived that it would actually be paid out. I didn’t imagine for one moment that I was going to die. In any case, the whole point of that policy was to help my wife and family in the event of my early death.

Then the government whacks on a 17% bankruptcy tax, plus compound interest at 8% pa and the official receivers fees. There won’t be much left … if anything!

Anyway enough of me moaning, we’ll get over it!

Here is a quick update on my health. As I have been saying, I feel much better than I have for many years now but am still plagued with this stomach pain which becomes apparent as I go to bed and keeps me awake for hours. I guess it is something to do with what I am eating for my main meal around 6pm each day. I can’t see how salad can affect me that much so I am adjusting what I eat to see if it makes any difference.

Other than that I feel on top form and having lost just over a stone in weight I feel as if I will live forever. More massaging is planned as well as a lymphatic drain massage which seemingly helps my body get rid of loads of toxins.

I also have a plan to try Pilates as I need to improve my core strength and apparently it is one of the best ways to achieve that. Whatever I do as exercise I have to remember that my body is not very strong at the moment, because of the after effect of the chemotherapy and other treatments I’ve had.

Well that is it for today, short and sweet.

I would like to ask you all a favour. If you know anyone who is experiencing similar health issue to me then please give them my blog link so that they can have a look. Helping to inspire others is important, and also a great encouragement to me as well.

If you can mention my blog on Facebook or Twitter that would really be appreciated or click the Like and Tweet buttons on the blog. The more people that know, the more likely I can encourage someone else to lengthen their lives and deal with all the issues of a terminal prognosis. Thank You!

Enjoy the rest of your day, and especially the weekend. I have to count every day as the number of days left is potentially not that many. Please make sure you do your best to live a healthy and active life for as long as possible.
