Dear Ecademy Friend,

Thank you for connecting with me on Ecademy. I hope that Ecademy works well for you and that it’s giving or will give you the results you desire.

The best advice I can offer is to complete your profile, connect with others online, attend local meetings, arrange 1-2-1’s with those who appeal to you - in short - take action and do it for at least one year or more.

Sadly a large majority of people who join Ecademy never actually do anything but expect others to buy their products or services. They are not serious enough about networking and won’t even consider investing a little time and money in marketing or in a one year star_powerPowernetworkers subscription. Believe me - networking online takes at least a year to build yourself a good reputation and to see some real results.

These people soon realise that nothing is happening and just become another of the star_guestGrey Star members! Interestingly these guest members are seen by the paid membership as not worthy of much attention. After all what is £120 plus VAT for a years membership?

Of course they always have an excuse or two, including:-

  • I was invited but I’m not really interested!
  • I arrived here and could not understand what it was all about!
  • I had a look but could not see how being a member would benefit me!
  • I wanted to sell by services (or products) but nobody is buying!
  • I can’t afford the money!
  • It’s just a waste of my time!

There are of course other reasons as well.

However for many - Ecademy does work very well and is a source of information, business opportunities, introductions, friends and of course an element of social interaction.  Personally - more than 90% of my income over the last three years has come as a direct result of being a member of Ecademy. It does work if you work it!

Many of the members become star_blackBlackStars at a cost of many thousands of pounds and reap the benefits of working with other like minded people, sharing skills and talents and working on projects together. I’m often asked by new members if they should upgrade to BlackStar immediately and my advice is always NO!  Subscribe as a star_powerPowernetworker for a year first and then if it right for you, consider upgrading.

Of course online networking does not suit everyone.  Interestingly the world is definitely becoming a smaller place as a result of the internet.  As the world continues to shrink, those who fail to grasp the need to communicate online may find that they are left behind. Things are changing, and places such as Ecademy will become more and more important as the way we conduct business changes.

Just consider what may happen when the price of a litre of petrol hits £2 or £3 or even £5 - because in time that’s what’s going to happen. Will you still drive to work? Is online working going to become more popular?  I strongly believe so!

I hope this information is useful to you, and should you have further questions please feel free to contact me at jim.tuffin@jtuffin.co.uk

I have included some general Networking Tips here for you and more specific ones for Ecademy here.

You can also register your details on my personal database just in case I am looking for services you offer or products you sell. It’s free and will only take a minute or so!

Thank you for giving me your time,

Best wishes

Jim
